It lies 16 miles (26 km) southwest of Philippine-occupied Thitu Island). Naturally above water only at low tide. It surrounds a huge lagoon. The occupying country People's Republic of China has constructed 3-storey buildings, wharfs, and a helipad here.[1] This reef is also claimed by the Republic of China (Taiwan), Philippines, and Vietnam.
